3 1/2" x 48" Notched Newel Post. Ascension Stair Parts wood products come in a variety of species and profiles. The natural variations in grain and color will require tolerance for look and finish. Sanding to a finish will be required on most products unless stated otherwise before paint or varnish can be applied. Our blanks and notched posts are made of three layers of 1 (more for 3.5” posts) inch thick pieces pressed together. This adds strength and protects against warping you might get using a single piece of wood.
