Merial OraVet Dental Hygiene Chews are formulated to prevent bacterial biofilm formation on the teeth. Each chew contains Delmopinol HCl which coats the teeth, tongue and gingiva with a barrier that prevents bacterial attachment. When bacteria cannot attach to oral surfaces, they can't create the biofilm that becomes dental plaque and calculus (tartar), or produce the volatile sulfur compounds of bad breath.
