This unit is to be hand tightened plus ¼ turn. Plastic nuts are to be hand tightened only. Over-tightening may damage nuts and cause product failure. Position the valve handles towards the water heater for normal usage. Position the valve handles towards the inlet/outlet pipes for winterizing usage. Manufacturer assumes no responsibility for product failure due to improper installation.
